Veneers
It’s no secret that film stars and celebrities keenly seek this form of treatment to create their perfect smile. Veneers are considered to be one of the state-of-the-art cosmetic treatments and are now widely available to anyone who wants it. We have searched far and wide for the latest technologies and best craftsmen to provide you with that perfect smile.
Veneers are one of the least invasive types of restoration and can perfectly match the shape, size, colour and translucency of your teeth. Your veneers can also be selected to be a lighter shade so that your teeth are whiter than before. They are durable and stain resistant so that with proper care they can last many years. Unlike caps and crowns, veneers only cover the front surface of a tooth.

Frequently asked questions about dental veneers
Teeth whitening for crowns and veneers.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to whiten crowns or veneers with teeth whitening techniques. The bleaching gel only works on organic matter and because crowns veneers are made from ceramic materials they cannot be bleached. If you have crowns or veneers and would like them whiter, then the only option is to have them remade in a lighter colour.
Can veneers cover yellow teeth?
Yes. Sometimes teeth are so yellow and discoloured that regular teeth whitening is unable to whiten into the desired shade. In this instance, dental veneers can be made over the top of the yellow teeth in order to completely cover them. This has the added advantage of being able to change the shape as well as the colour.
What are composite veneers?
Composite veneers are often referred to as instant veneers. Regular dental veneers are made by a dental technician and usually take approximately 2 or 3 weeks from initial preparation through to having the veneer fitted. Whilst these are the most robust type of veneers they can be more expensive and take longer than composite veneers.
Composite veneer is made directly onto your tooth by your dentist whilst you sit in the dental chair. Your dentist will gently apply tooth-coloured resin to the surface of your tooth to cover the underlying tooth and rebuild it. Composite veneers are a great way to cover up small pits and chips in your tooth or to completely change their shape.
Composite veneers can sometimes stain with strong-coloured foods such as curry, red wine or tea. However, it is a relatively simple process for your dentist to polish the surface of the composite veneer to remove any staining.
How long do veneers last?
In 2012 U S Beier undertook a long-term analysis of up to 20 years on dental veneers. The research found that:
The survival rate was 94.4% after 5 years
The survival rate was 93.5% after 10 years
The survival rate was 82.93% after 20 years
This means that porcelain veneers have an estimated survival probability of 93.5% over 10 years making them an incredibly reliable and effective treatment in cosmetic dentistry.
