The Lytham Dental Clinic are looking for a new member to join our family! We are looking for a Front of House receptionist to help expand our team and to provide the best care to our patients.

The Dental Front of House plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a dental office. This role involves greeting patients, managing appointments, handling billing, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:

  • Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.

  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.

  • Answer patient inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.

Appointment Management:

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.

  • Maintain an organised appointment book and manage changes efficiently.

  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain patient records and update information as needed.

  • Handle billing

  • Process payments and issue receipts.

  • Maintain office supplies and ensure the reception area is tidy.

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with dental team members to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Relay messages between patients and dental staff.

  • Notify patients of upcoming appointments and follow-ups.

Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient concerns and complaints promptly.

  • Educate patients on office policies and procedures.

  • Assist with patient forms and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or certification in office administration or related field is a plus.

  • Experience: Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a dental or medical office.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in office management software

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

  • Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
